Samoan international winger Sinoti Sinoti on Tuesday signed for English Premiership side Newcastle Falcons for the rest of the season and sees him reunited with one of his former coaches Peter Russell. The 28-year-old -- who could make his debut in the Premiership match with Sale on January 3 -- played under Russell at New Zealand outfit Hawke's Bay, one of several clubs he has appeared for. Aside from them he has played for Toulon and Castres in the Top 14 and Italian sides Aironi and Zebre as well as latterly New Zealand outfit Wellington. "I'm really excited to start my new rugby journey with Newcastle Falcons and I'm eager to meet the boys and get stuck in," he told the Falcons official website. "I'm looking forward to the challenge of competing in the Premiership, and I hope that I can bring something valuable to the team." Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards was delighted at succeeding in signing Sinoti. "Sinoti is a great signing for the club, and will bring some attacking edge to the backline as we go into a crucial run of games. "We've been tracking his progress for some time now, and we are looking forward to welcoming him to Kingston Park within the next week. "He comes to Newcastle with a lot of experience under his belt having played in the French Top 14, Celtic League and European Cup, and ultimately he is a great acquisition for the club." Source: AFP
