Fenerbahce were held to a 1-1 draw on the opening day of the new season away to newly-promoted Elazigspor, who played the final 25 minutes with ten men. The hosts had taken a 50th-minute lead through Herve Tum before Fener levelled through ex-Liverpool man Dirk Kuyt in the 64th minute. Elazigspor soon lost Sedat Bayrak to a second bookable offence, but Fenerbahce could not find the breakthrough. A 49th-minute strike from Ricardo Pedriel gave Sivasspor a 1-0 away win over Gaziantepspor. Karabukspor scored late on to deny Trabzonspor an away win in a 1-1 draw. Volcan Sen put the visitors in front after 20 minutes, but substitute Luton Shelton levelled it up nine minutes from time. From : Fifa
