
A festival featuring several domestic and international sport events kicked off Saturday in a pasturing area of Baotou, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The 80-day festival, showing traditional Mongolian sports and culture, will hold horse racing, Mongolian wrestling, archery and other traditional Mongolian competitions. Meanwhile, an international motorcycle event and a national motorcycle championship, slated for August 2 to 4, will debut in Inner Mongolia and will attract top athletes around the world to participate, local sports official Ru yaoqiang said. The festival, named China Cultural and Tourism Festival, will hold a total of 45 activities and events, covering sports, culture, tourism and trade. From: XINHUA
