Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson will soon decide whether to join Tehran giants Persepolis after leaving Iran on Thursday following discussions with the club. The 63-year-old Swede, who has been out of a job since leaving Leicester City in late October, met with Persepolis general manager Mohammed Ruyanian in Kish Island in Iran's south this week. "He will later announce his decision on our proposal," Ruyanian told Fars News Agency. English newspaper The Sun has reported Ruyanian has offered Eriksson a €1.15million (£990,000) contract to take over as their manager. Piroozi, who are currently coached by Hamid Estili, sit sixth in the Iranian Pro League this season, 10 points behind rivals and leaders Esteghlal. Eriksson has previously coached the national teams of England, Mexico and Ivory Coast, along with clubs such as Lazio, Sampdoria and Manchester City.
