South African international right-back Anele Ngcongca has been loaned for a season by Belgians Genk to Troyes, who plays in the French Ligue 1.
The 45-times capped 27-year-old has been signed as cover for the injured Mory Kone, who ruptured a tendon in his knee against Marseille last weekend.
Ngcongca was part of the 'Bafana Bafana' squad at their home World Cup in 2010 and and joined Genk in 2007, winning the Belgian title in 2011 as well as two domestic cups.
He holds the record for the most appearances at Genk, 275, but fell out of favor with Maes when he missed part of a pre-season without permission, citing personal problems.
