Nurnberg coach Dieter Hecking is happy to just keep putting distance between his side and the Bundesliga relegation zone, even with European qualification a realistic possibility. The Bavarians beat Borussia Monchengladbach yesterday to record their third straight league win and move to within four points of seventh-placed Hannover and five of sixth-placed Werder Bremen. With three of the top four meeting in the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal, there is a good chance seventh place in the league could come with a UEFA Europa League spot. Asked by Sky whether he was looking at seventh, Hecking said: "I am happy when I look over our shoulder and see nine clubs behind us, but of course we want to win every game." Swiss forward Albert Bunjaku scored the only goal of the game three minutes from time to sink Gladbach, making a perfect return following a year out through injury. "This goal was very important for me after such a long time out, and it's even better that it was the winning goal," he said in the Nurnberger Zeitung newspaper. "I would like to say a huge thank you to the club, the fans, the team and the coach. They have always helped me and never gave up on me. I am delighted that I could give something back." Gladbach coach Lucien Favre was unimpressed with his side's display as he tasted defeat for the first time in 2012. "We are not playing as well as we were a few weeks ago," he said. "We are lacking depth and the right movement."
