Bundesliga side Hoffenheim have signed Real Madrid striker Joselu for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old - full name Jose Luis Mato Sanmartin - scored 26 goals in 36 games for Real Madrid's reserve side last season and scored on his debut for the first team in La Liga and in the Cope del Rey. His scintillating form was reported to have interested several English Premier League clubs. The Bundesliga announced on their website that Joselu joined Hoffenheim in training today after a four-year deal was signed following lengthy negotiations. Coach Markus Babbel told Hoffenheim's official website: "Joselu has already demonstrated his class at Real Madrid. But he's still young as well and has a lot of potential. He fits in perfectly in this team and at Hoffenheim." The player was born in Stuttgart, but later moved to Spain, the country of his parents. From: FIFA
