Nasir Jamshed missed his century (97) but helped Pakistan to register a comfortable seven-wicket win over Australia to square the three-match ODI series by 1-1 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday morning. Chasing 249 for victory, Jamshed batted with responsibility, which kept Pakistan in control at all times. Jamshed got good support from Azhar Ali, with whom he added 101 runs for the second wicket while Mohammad Hafeez (23) was also involved in a solid opening stand with Jamshed worth 66 runs. Jamshed hit 11 fours and two sixes in a stylish batting performance, which ultimately earned him the Man of the Match award. The Australians thought, they had Jamshed in the second over of the innings when he was adjudged lbw to James Pattinson, but the batsman asked for a review and replays showed the ball had pitched outside leg stump.
