With many of Andre Villas-Boas' squad being away on international duty the Portuguese coach gave the rest of the Chelsea players two days off. However, after being left out of Stuart Pearce's new-look England squad, Lampard arranged for a fitness coach to put him through his paces for 90 minutes at Chelsea's Cobham training headquarters. The midfielder could only make the bench for the Blues' 3-1 Champions League defeat at Napoli just last week and is eager to become a regular again at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea's next Premier League match sees them take on West Brom at the Hawthorns. Lampard's club team-mates Ashley Cole, Daniel Sturridge and Gary Cahill all made the cut for the Three Lions' friendly at Wembley against Netherlands on Wednesday night.
