UEFA announced today the award of media rights for the 2012–15 UEFA Europa League to the M6 Group and al-Jazeera Sport in France. As part of the M6 Group contract, free-to-air channel W9 will broadcast the best UEFA Europa League game in addition to a highlights programme each matchnight. Matches featuring local participation in the semi-finals and final will be shown on M6. Meanwhile, al-Jazeera Sport has acquired the rights to all UEFA Europa League games including the final. It will screen at least two live matches per kick-off slot as well as a highlights package every matchnight. Commenting on the award, UEFA said: "UEFA is pleased to announce the continued partnership with the M6 Group for the UEFA Europa League and to further develop its relationship with al-Jazeera in the French market." UEFA would like to thank long-term content partner Canal Plus for its continued commitment and dedication to the competition. This announcement concludes the sale of the 2012–15 UEFA Europa League media rights in France.
