Marseille's French international striker Loic Remy, 25, on Tuesday caught a man who had attempted to break into his car in the city, a police source said Wednesday. The player was returning to his Audi A3 coupe in the north of the city when he discovered that one of the vehicle's windows had been smashed. When residents told Remy that a thief was attempting to break into other vehicles in the area, Remy tracked down the man in question and drove him to nearby police. The suspect, a 26-year-old man with a history of similar offences, was later taken into custody. Northern Marseille is renowned for its poverty and high crime rate.
