Javi Martinez has hailed the hospitality of his new Bayern Munich team-mates and has revealed that Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has been especially helpful in getting him settled in his new surroundings. Martinez became the most expensive player in Bundesliga history when he completed his move to Bavaria from Athletic Club at the end of last month. Neither the Spaniard nor Schweinsteiger are involved in international action over the coming week and have instead been training in Munich, and the pair appear to have struck up a bond already. Martinez told German newspaper Bild: "Bastian is a brilliant guy and a great colleague. He helps me a lot and explains the phrases that I do not understand in German. And in the training sessions we have worked perfectly well. Not only 'Basti' is outstanding. All the others have made acclimatisation very easy." FIFA
