Fabian Castillo scored while sprawled on the ground to give FC Dallas the lead Wednesday on its way to an eventual 2-0 victory over Vancouver. Castillo's goal came in the 60th minute and Jonathan Top added a score 10 minutes later, giving Dallas back-to-back victories for only the second time this season. Dallas (7-11-8) moved within eight points of a playoff position with eight games remaining in the season. Zach Loyd started the play that gave Dallas its first goal with a long throw-in. David Ferreira headed the ball toward Castillo inside the penalty area and he was bumped down by Vancouver's Martin Bonjour. Castillo, however, was able to get a foot on the ball while lying on his side and he bounced it off the left post and into the net. Vancouver (10-8-7) missed a chance to move into third place by itself in the Western Conference and remained tied for third with Seattle and Los Angeles.
