The Mozambican national soccer team, the "Mambas" is to play against its South African counterpart "Bafana Bafana" in South Africa. The game will take place on September 11 in Nelspruit, as the two sides prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations to be held in South Africa next year. The Nelspruit friendly is expected to be deep attractive to both sides as many Mozambicans will simply cross the border to the city and return home the same day. The "Mambas" lost to Angola 2-0 this week in a friendly in Angola. The game is also in preparation for the CAN. On September 9, Mozambique is to meet Morocco in the first leg of the CAN competition. The match is to be played in the Mozambican capital, Maputo. Mozambican national soccer team coach Gert Engels says that the "Mambas" are ready to face both South Africa and Morocco, because the preparations are going well. "My boys are in good shape," he says.
