After blowing hot and cold in his first season since moving from Nice, the 24-year-old has thrived in a central role, striking five times in 10 appearances for his club, not to mention getting on the scoresheet with France when they met Chile in an August friendly.Often compared to Thierry Henry because of his stature, style and poise, Remy is, in turth, unlike Arsenal’s record scorer, as Deschamps was keen to stress when he spoke to the media last Friday.“He has pace and a physique that looks like him [Henry],” the coach considered. “But Thierry Henry is Thierry Henry and Loic Remy is Loic Remy, with different qualities and different careers. They have not had the same past either, or the same experiences.“But he [Remy] has many qualities, which is why he came here and why we invested a lot in him. I don’t wish to play him down, but I don’t wish to embellish him. Great, he scored two goals [against Evian in a 2-0 win], but he could have had three or four, so he should not just be happy with that.”
