Tonight's Serie A clash between Parma and league leaders Juventus has been postponed due to heavy snowfall. Snow has fallen intermittently in the northern city today and a team of employees at the Stadio Ennio Tardini had been working to ensure the pitch remained in a playable condition. However, both clubs agreed to postpone the fixture less than an hour before kick-off after meeting with stadium security personnel. "The Security Task Group convened in special session to evaluate the safety conditions of the event decided by majority vote not to proceed with the Parma-Juventus match," read a statement on Parma's website. A new date for the fixture has yet to be confirmed. Victory for Juventus would have taken them four points clear of AC Milan at the league's summit. Milan are in action at Lazio tomorrow night.
