During the first 24 hours of the first public sales phase for Brazil 2013, more than 186,032 ticket requests were received - yet another record in the history of FIFA Confederations Cup ticketing. Most requests were received from Brazil, followed by Mexico, USA, Italy and Spain. The opening match, with more than 37,000 ticket requests, currently leads the ranking ahead of match 9 (Italy-Brazil) and the final at the Maracana. In terms of the host cities, Salvador is leading the way ahead of Rio and Brasilia. “It is an unprecedented kick-off for the Festival of Champions and it is great to see that hundreds of thousands football fans do not want to miss out the chance to join these champions live in the stadium. Fans have the best chance to secure tickets during this sales phase,” said Thierry Weil, the FIFA Marketing Director who is in charge of ticketing. Irrespective of the time of the application, all requests will be collected by the end of the sales phase on 15 January 2013. For oversubscribed matches and/or categories, a random selection draw will take place as of 16 January 2013. Successful, unsuccessful and/or partially successful ticket applicants will be notified prior to the start of the first-come, first-served sales phase, which will kick-off via FIFA.com on 15 February 2013. Customers can send enquiries by e-mail to enquiries@2013FTC.com or call +41445831000 for information on ticketing. During the Visa pre-sales phase, which ended on 30 November, 132,843 tickets were sold. From : Fifa
