Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was involved in a bar altercation with his sister that has prompted a Major League Baseball investigation for a possible domestic violence policy violation.
The Los Angeles Times and TMZ reported that an argument took place at the Blue Martini, with Puig fighting with a bouncer and suffering a swollen left eye and bumps and bruises to his face.
TMZ said Puig shoved his sister and resisted when bouncers asked him to leave.
Police said no-one involved wanted to press charges and both Puig's agent and the Dodgers had no comment on the matter to the Times.
Puig, a 24-year-old Cuban defector, batted .255 with 11 home runs and 38 runs batted in last season, playing only 79 games due to hamstring injuries.
