
Qatar’s volleyball teams confidently reached the final stage of the prestigious fifth Asian Beach Games 2016, following their deserving victories in the last four stage on Saturday.
Qatar team (1) consisted of Cherif Samba and Jefferson Pereira defeated Indonesia 2-0 (21/17 and 21/15) to cruise their way to the final stage, likewise Qatar team (2) booked place in the final stage, following a convincing 2-0 victory over Kazakhstan, according to QOC.
In another match, Qatar’s handball team reached the final stage, after defeating hosts Vietnam 2-0 on Saturday, accordingly the team will shake hands with Oman in the title clash on Sunday.
In these prestigious Games, Qatar sport teams are competing in seven games including football, handball, volleyball, basketball, athletics, wrestling and swimming.
An estimated 3.000 athletes from 45 countries and territories, including 350 competitors from Vietnam, rivalling in 14 categories.
