Organisers have been forced to cancel the $1 million Charity High1 Resort Open after heavy rain and cloud meant no play was possible on the fourth day of an already weather-blighted event. Just three players completed their second rounds at the High1 Country Club on Saturday and more low cloud returned to the mountain course on Sunday morning making the cancellation of the OneAsia event all but inevitable. With only one full round completed, half of the prize money will be distributed evenly amongst the 153 professionals who started the week, although the figure will not count towards the OneAsia Order of Merit. "Unfortunately because of the weather we have encountered over the four days this week we have made the decision not only to cancel the second round on Sunday, but also to cancel the event," said OneAsia Chief Executive Officer Ben Sellenger. "It is evident that we are not going to get through 36 holes, the action has been taken after consultation with the sponsor." The event was added to the OneAsia schedule this year and was set to be the sixth stop of the 2011 season.
