New England Revolution have ended their ten-match winless Major League Soccer run with a 2-0 home triumph over Columbus Crew. Dimitry Imbongo opened the scoring nine minutes into the second half, slotting into an empty net after Diego Fagundez had hit the post, before a 74th-minute own goal from defender Chad Marshall sealed the Revs' first win since 8 July. Wednesday's other MLS game ended in a 3-0 home win for Colorado against Portland, lifting the Rapids off the bottom of the Western Conference standings at the expense of the Timbers. First-half goals Andre Akpan and Tony Cascio set Colorado on their way and Jaime Castrillon put the result beyond doubt by heading home a third goal four minutes from time. From : Fifa
