French veterans Lionel Nallet and Sebastien Chabal said Tuesday they will probably retire at the end of the season, despite their team Lyon heading for promotion to the Top-14. "I haven't taken a final decision yet," 37-year-old Chabal, who won 67 caps for France as a powerhouse lock and back row, told Le Progres newspaper. "There is a job to finish (promotion) first, but quite honestly the chances are 99% that I will retire at the end of the season." Lock forward Nallet, 38, who was capped 74 times for France and also captained the national side, said that he was less and less enthusiastic about training. "In reality in my head it's all over, but it's not the right moment to officially announce my retirement," he told the newspaper. Chabal and Nallet both joined Lyon in early 2012, but the club was relegated from the top flight at the end of that season. They are currently top of the second division with a lead of 15 points over nearest challengers La Rochelle with six matches to go. Before Lyon, Nallet played with Bourg, Bourgoin, Castres and Racing-Metro, while Chabal turned out for Valence, Bourgoin, Sale Sharks and Racing-Metro. Source: AFP
