Lucie Safarova of Czech Republic claimed her first title of the year by coming back to beat Samantha Stosur of Australia 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the Prague Open final here on Saturday.
Safarova, No. 2 seed and 16th in the world rankings, entered the final by beating fellow Czech Karolina Pliskova while Stosur enjoyed a walkover after Russia's Svetlana Kuznestova withdrew due to injury.
Safarova, 29, met some troubles with her serve in the opening set while Stosur suffered the same problem in the second set with four double faults.
It was Safarova's first title of the season since she was stopped at the first round for five times so far this year.
