South African football is mourning the death of the country’s assistant national team coach Thomas Madigage, dpa reported. The former international, who played for South African clubs JomoCosmos and Super sport, as well as for FC Zurich in Switzerland, died in a crash after his car hit a donkey in the early hours of Friday morning. The 41-year-old was appointed assistant team coach a few months ago when Gordon Igesund took over Bafana Bafana. Madigage traveled to Poland with the team last week and was in Kenya on Tuesday, where South Africa beat the hosts 2-1. Arab News
