Last week, a FIFA inspection group conducted the final inspection visit in Turkey for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2013. The inspection group visited all seven stadiums: Antalya, Bursa, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Kayseri, Rize and Trabzon. The stadiums are generally in a good state of readiness for the competition, although several areas were highlighted for changes. FIFA will be monitoring the changes closely over the months before the tournament to ensure that the stadiums are in top condition for next summer's event. Training sites were also visited with the emphasis on pitch management and maintenance to ensure that the teams can enjoy prime facilities and training environments in all Host Cities. The inspection concluded with a day long working meeting with the LOC focusing on conceptual creation for the Draw, ceremonies, transportation and team services and receiving updates on the project areas such as marketing, ticketing, broadcasting and security.
