
Although there are two games still to play this season, the Spanish Football League (LFP) has confirmed the dates for the 2016-17 campaign.
A meeting of the LFP on Thursday concluded that next season will kick off on the weekend of August 21st and finish on May 21st 2017.
The dates which have been approved mean that the 2017 Kings Cup final would be played on May 28th, while there will be a short break over the Christmas period with no matches played between December 23rd and January 2nd.
The full calendar has not yet been confirmed given that the two sides who will accompany Levante in being relegated to the second division have yet to be confirmed along with the three sides to be promoted.
