Brazil defender Thiago Silva on Thursday apologized to fans of AC Milan for having left the Italian soccer club for wealthy French outfit Paris Saint German. "My transfer to Paris was not 100% my choice, seeing as I had just renewed my contract with Milan," Thiago Silva said at the Brazil national team's pre-Olympics retreat in Britain. "Some have called me a mercenary, but I'm not leaving to make more money than I did with Milan. "I want to be clear that it's not my fault and I want to apologize to Milan's fans. Now I hope to make history in Paris St. Germain". Silva explained he basically had no choice but to move from Milan along with Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he was offered an opportunity he could not pass up. "I was called by (PSG Director of Football) Leonardo and (coach Carlo) Ancelotti," he said. "What made me change club was their project. Like Ibrahimovic said, they're putting together a dream team".
