Tijuana went three points clear at the top of the Mexican Apertura standings with a 1-1 draw against Atlas. Hector Mancilla gave Atlas the lead after half an hour but Duvier Riascos equalised with 15 minutes remaining. Monterrey moved up to third after coming from behind to defeat bottom side Queretaro 3-2. Carlos Bueno gave the visitors the lead before Monterrey's Neri Cardozo levelled the scores. Dario Carreno put the home side ahead but Diego Gustavino got Queretaro back on terms. With nine minutes to go, Angel Reyna got the winner for Monterrey. Christian Benitez opened the scoring for Club America, who drew 1-1 away to Cruz Azul, whose goal came from Javier Aquino. Jaime Correa scored the only goal as San Luis beat Pachuca 1-0.
