Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas was fined £12,000 by the Football Association (FA) on Tuesday for his comments about referee Chris Foy following a Premier League defeat by Queens Park Rangers last month. Villas-Boas, who was also warned as to his future conduct, by an independent regulatory commission, had previously admitted he was "very aggressive" with Foy following the loss. Chelsea are currently 12 points adrift of City following a 2-1 loss at home to Liverpool last weekend - a defeat that increased the pressure on Villas-Boas who, after guiding Porto to a trophy treble last term, was brought in before the start of this season after the London club sacked Carlo Anc elotti.
