Vladimir Putin signs law on sports fans

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has signed a law under which the sports fans violating public law and order will be liable to paying fines of up to 15,000 rubles /USD 1=RUB 32.5/. Along with the financial penalties, the law spells out a new type of punishment - a ban on visiting sports competitions /more specifically, football matches/ for a period of up to seven years.
