The Italy international recently revealed that he could see himself return to his former club at some point, but Sneijder feels it is unlikely that Balotelli will say farewell to his current employers in the near future. "I always had a good connection with him. He is a strong player with a lot of quality. He is doing very well at Manchester now though, so I don't think he will return to Inter," Sneijder was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport. "It would be great if we could strengthen the team a bit, but I have complete faith in Inter and head coach Claudio Ranieri. He's the right man for the job." The Netherlands international then denied that he ever said that Inter's squad is too old to be successful. "I gave an interview in the Netherlands which was translated quite poorly," the Dutchman insisted. "I said that we have a very strong team with a lot of quality players. Our problem at the moment is that the same players are playing a match every three days. "We had a squad with a lot of old players two years ago as well and we managed to win everything back then. Age is not the problem in my opinion." Inter currently sit 17th in the Serie A table with just eight points from nine games.
