Xabi Alonso made his 100th league appearance with Real Madrid in the 2-1 victory over Barcelona at Camp Nou. The midfielder made his debut in the championship with the team on 29 August 2009 in a 3-2 victory over Deportivo La Coruña. He has earned 80 victories, 12 draws and eight defeats with the Whites on the competition. Alonso has established himself as Real's primary master of ceremonies. In his first season on the team he served four assists and served one more the following year. He has so far served six this season. Alonso scored his first goal for Real Madrid in Week 23 of the 2009/10 edition of La Liga against Villarreal at the Bernabeu. He has also tallied strikes against Atletico Madrid, Sporting Gijon and Zaragoza.
