The 32-year-old is one of five players from their triumphant 23-man line-up at the UEFA European Championship who will not make the trip to Central America. Alvaro Negredo, Jordi Alba, Javi Martinez and Juan Mata will also sit out the match on 15 August 15. New Arsenal signing Santi Cazorla has been included while Chelsea striker Fernando Torres also retains his place.
