Zamalek have officially announced the signing of ENNPI’s midfielder Islam Awad on a three-and-a-half year contract Saturday. “Awad is our player now after signing the contract with club representatives,” the Cairo giants said in a statement on their official website without disclosing the financial details of the deal. Reports in the Egyptian media claimed the petroleum club, ENNPI, received LE5 million for releasing their talented player to join Zamalek. A few hours ago it was reported that Zamalek officials reached an agreement to land Gouna’s defensive midfielder Nour El-Sayed on a three--and-a-half year contract, a matter still to be confirmed by the club. Under the guidance of new coach Hassan Shehata, Zamalek are working to end their seven-year Egyptian Premier League drought. The former national coach is eager to strengthen his squad during the current winter transfer window. ahramonline .
