A 6.1-magnitude earthquake jolted California in northwest U.S. at 6:20 p.m.(Beijing Time), the China Earthquake Networks Center said.
The epifocus was monitored at 38.2 degrees north latitude and 122.3 degrees west longitude, with a depth of 20 kilometers, it said. The location is dozens of kilometers from San Francisco.
