
Ministry of Agricultural and Land Reclamation has installed seven automated agricultural weather stations (AWS) along the Red Sea coast in the areas of Ras Ghreb, Hurghada, Safaga, Quseir, Mersa Allam, Halayeb and Salatin. In a statement released on Sunday, the Ministry said the stations have been installed in areas belonging to the agricultural directorate, desert research center and a project for development of Bedouins in the Eastern Desert. The stations will provide accurate local measurements for various farming applications, providing real-time data on site and over the internet. They will also help in the research and scientific applications in the area along with projects for the agricultural development along the Red Sea coasts
