China's top political advisor discusses waste disposal

China's top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng on Thursday held a seminar discussing waste disposal using cement kilns.
Yu, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, presided over the seminar, which was attended by some environmental experts, officials and political advisors.
Attendees at the seminar said with waste and garbage increasing and waste treatment facilities badly insufficient, cement kilns could be used to dispose of waste and protect the environment.
They suggested the government strengthen fiscal support.
Seminars are used by the top political advisor bi-monthly to study some major issues with experts and officials.
