Average temperatures in Belgium this spring only went up to 8 degrees Celsius which makes it the coldest spring in the country for 40 years. The weather presenter at the Flemish Radio and Television, VRT, Frank Deboosere Tuesday said "It's 40 years ago that we had such a cold spring. And another thing is that we haven't had a lot of sunshine so far. At the end of May, we will probably finish in the top-10 of 'darkest' springs ever". The cold, wet weather is expected to continue in Belgium for the next 5 to 6 days, he noted. The summer season is to begin in Belgium in 10 days.
