
Sudan's First Vice President Bakri Hassan Saleh has said the political leadership here and in Cairo is acting to boost bilateral cooperation with the aim to achieve integration between the two peoples of the Nile.
He told visiting Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Salah Helal and Minister of Irrigation Hossam Moghazi that the leaders of Egypt and Sudan are seeking to implement investment and development projects that would benefit their national economies.
Emerging from the meeting, Moghazi told MENA he posted the Sudanese vice president on the positive outcome of his meeting with a number of Sudanese officials and ministers.
Moghazi also conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab's best regards to Sudanese President Omar al Bashir and to vice president Saleh.
The two sides are set to meet in Cairo on May 8 to reach a final agreement about other issues of mutual concern.
Osama Shaltout, the Egyptian Ambassador in Khartoum, attended the meeting.
