Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi will head on Friday for the Democratic Republic of the Congo to attend the sixth meeting of the joint consultative technical committee that aims to boost cooperation in water resources and irrigation fields.
The minister will be accompanied during his two-day visit by a high-profile delegation.
The visit aims to activate a cooperation protocol signed earlier in March of 2012 for the integrated management project. The project will be funded by an Egyptian grant of 10.5 million dollars.
Under the project, a feasibility study will be conducted to establish a hydroelectric infrastructure and flood forecasting center and dig 20 wells.
