Forest fire breaks out in east China

Nearly 700 firefighters have been dispatched to put out a forest fire in east China's Jiangxi Province, local authorities said Monday.The fire broke out around 3 p.m. in the mountains of Dexing City, and is continuing to burn, sources with the provincial forest fire prevention command bureau said.A preliminary investigation found that the fire started when someone burned wild grass to clear the land for a new round of planting.No casualties have been reported.
