
Over 1.600 people in Khabarovsk have the right to receive compensations of 100,000 roubles for lost property. Those are practically all residents of ground floors and of private houses, whose estate was flooded, press service of the city’s mayoral office said. Khabarovsk’s Mayor Alexander Sokolov said: “It is not correct to divide the people into those whose damage was partial or full. They all should receive the assistance.” Besides, people living in apartment houses, from the ground to the top floor, will receive assistance per every person: 10,000 roubles from the federal budget and 10,000 roubles from the local budget. The city administration has mentioned cases of cheating, where some people tried to receive compensations of 10,000: some fake documents, or would come twice to apply for the money.
