
The Ports Authority of Kuwait announced today that it was suspending naval traffic in Al-Shuwaikh, Al-Shuaiba and Al-Doha ports following a strong sandstorm.
Captain Musa Bahbahani, Governor of Al-Shuwaikh port said in a press statement that the wind speed which reached 52 (nautical) knots followed by low vision of less than 100 meters led to the decision of suspending the maritime navigation and handling of opertions at the three ports.
Currently there are no vessels in the waiting or depating zones, he added.
