A 6.1-magnitude quake jolted

A 6.1-magnitude quake jolted off Aomori prefecture in Northern Japan at around 12:43 local time Sunday, according to Japan's Meteorological Agency.
The quake was registered at lower 5 level in Japan seismic scale of 7 in parts of the prefecture, Xinhua reported.
The epicenter was initially detected at 41.1 degree of North latitude and 142.3 degree of East longitude, with a depth of 50 km. No tsunami warnings were triggered and no immediate reports on injuries and damage
