Mexico shaken by 5.4-magnitude quake

A 5.4-magnitude earthquake rattled southeastern Mexico on Saturday, but no damage or injuries were immediately reported.
The quake was centered in the state of Veracruz, 47 kilometers (29 miles) southeast of Sayula de Aleman, and hit at 2:16 pm (1916 GMT), the US Geological Survey said.
The USGS said the quake was 145 kilometers deep.
Mexico's National Seismology Service initially measured it at a strong 6.2-magnitude but later revised it to 5.6 strength.
National Civil Protection coordinator Luis Felipe Puente said no damage was seen when authorities checked the region.
