The next Nuclear Security Summit is planned to be held in the Netherlands in 2014, Ambassador Grigory Berdennikov, Russian Sherpa for the Nuclear Security Summit, told journalists on Monday. “The next summit might be held in the Netherland in 2014,” he said but noted that the final decision will be taken by the heads of state at their working meeting on March 27. This is the second Nuclear Security Summit. The first one was held in Washington in 2010. Berdennikov preferred not to answer the question whether such a summit might be held in Russia but said that so far there are no clear-cut regulations, rules or periodicity of such meetings.
