A quake hit at dawn Sunday at 4.1 on the Richter Scale some eight kilometers north of Sidon and was felt in Mount Lebanon and Beirut, said the country's National Centre for Geophysical Research.
The center's Secretary General Maeen Hamzeh said there were no aftershocks.
The center registers around 45 minor quake a month, below 3 on the Richter Scale, and this is a result of the country's geographical location with a faults system running beneath Mount Lebanon area, the coastal areas, and the Beqaa region.
