
President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, a law re-oragnising the International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC).
The law stipuloateds that IFHC shall be a public authority of a corporate body status and shall enjoy financial and administrative autonomy.
The International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC) is a global organisation dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Houbara bustard, an endangered bird.
The law also states that the National Avian Research Centre (NARC) in Abu Dhabi, the Emirates Center for Wildlife Propagation (ECWP) in Morocco and the Sheikh Khalifa Houbara Breeding Centres in Abu Dhabi and Afghanistan shall all be affiliated to the IFHC, with all rights, assets and liabilities shall be transferred to the fund.
