
The Shaikh Ibrahim Cultural Centre hosts on Monday Moroccan researcher Jameela Hassoun, as part of the Centre's cultural programme (Culture as a Universal Language). The lecturer will expound on the experiences of the civil society in curbing all forms of illiteracy and the impact of culture and education in activation of community contribution that leads to creation of a balanced process of citizens auto-maturity. She also elaborates on the techniques of understanding culture and education as unifying but unframed systems in modern community discourse, challenging social transformation in all walks of life. Jameela Hassoun aka the "Sindbad-ess" throughout her cultural career and journeys in rural areas in Morocco as part of her project the "The Book Caravanserai". She is also the owner of a publishing house in Casablanca, Morocco.
