On 17 April, the Prague Mixed Choir and the Cairo Choral Society will perform Mozart's Regina Coeli, K. 127 and Haydn's Te Deum, followed by a number of Czech folk songs and music by Antonin Dvorak, Leos Janacek and Zdenek Lukas. Amira Selim, the renowned Egyptian soprano, will perform during the evening with David Hales and Jan Steyer as her accompanists. The conductors of the evening are: Ji?í Petrdlík, Jan Steyer and John Baboukis. On 21 April, the same choir will perform Dvorak's Stabat Mater, with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ji?í Petrdlík and the A Capella Choir with choir master Maya Gvineria. The soloists of the evening are Iman Moustafa, soprano; Edita Adlerová, alto; Reda El Wakil, baritone; Ond?ej Socha, tenor. The concert is a tribute to Dr. Tharwat Okasha, who passed away in February Okasha pioneered many of Egypt's modern cultural institutions; he was a writer and a translator, and held the post of Minister of Culture during the 1960s.
